Day 1: Lamayuru - Wanla
After having your breakfast in camp you will start trekking to Wanlah. Till Prinkit La (3726mts), climbing up is very easy but after the village Shilla, you trail will follow a narrow and dry gorge and reach Wanlah. It is altogether 3 hours journey. You will have your lunch enroute. Overnight at tent.
Day 2: Wanla – Ursi
It take 4 Hrs to reach Ursi, Its easy walk reach wanla gongma and in the way you will see Tarchet on the right hand across the wanla river, walk through road till Ursi. Camp in tent.
Day 3: Ursi – Tarla (5300 Mtrs ) – Tar
After the Camp the route is interesting but very difficult to reach Tarla (5300 Mtrs ). We take our lunch on the top and enjoy the Panoramic view on one side you see Tia village and Skindiyang Village. Descending is steep, tough and very long. It takes three to four Hrs to reach Tar village.
Day 4: Tar – Mangu
To reach to Mangu route is easy, You have to cross the Mangu la from here you can see Hipti village, Descending is easy toward the Mangu village. In Mangu you can visit Mangu Monastery which was build by the Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo in the same period of Alchi Choskor. You can visit Mangu Monastery in the evening or you can visit in the morning before proceding to Alchi.
Day 5: Mangu – Alchi
From Mangu to Alchi is very easy, On the way you can see Gera village, After gera you will walk by the side of Indus river. Reach Alchi in 5 Hrs. In the way you can see some Rock arts also. Alchi Gompa dates back to the year 1000 AD and was built by the Translator, Rinchen Zangpo. He brought thirty-two sculptors and wood carvers from Kashmir, for the construction of the Alchi Monastery of Leh Ladakh. One can easily see an Indian touch in this monastery, especially in the way its paintings have been made.It is one of the best monastery of Ladakh
Day 6: Alchi – Leh
After visiting Famous Alchi Monastery you will proceed to leh. Take rest at hotel.
