The trek is one of the most popular tough and long , starts from Lamayuru (The monastery of Lamayuru is one the earliest founded monasteries of Dugung- Kargyu-pa sect in Ladakh) It is on the Leh-Srinagar high-way road and enters Zangskar through most beautiful villages of Ligshet, Photoksar, Karsha and then Padum. Further it leads you to Darcha in Himachal Paradesh via Phuktal One of the Oldest monastery build in cave.

Best Period: June to Mid- October.

Day 1: Delhi – Leh
On arrival to Leh, Transfer to hotel, you have to take the full day rest for the acclimatizing so that you may not have to suffer with the high Altitude sickness and can enjoy the trip.

Day 2: Leh – Shey – Thiksey – Hemis
After Breakfast You will go to visit some of the ancient monasteries of this region.

Shey Gompa is about 15 kms from Leh. It used to be the summer palace of the kings of Ladakh. There are lots of Stupas and Gompas built around the palace and Beautiful view of the Indus river from rooftop. Shey palace was built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17'Th century AD. Main attraction in Shey is the 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue made of Bronze was brought from the Tibet.

Thiksey Gompa, close to Shey is about 19 kms from Leh. The monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukspa order. The main attraction is the three stories Metriya Buddha statue. From the rooftop you can see the Panoramic view of the Indus valley and some famous monasteries.

Hemis, about 45 kms one of the most famous and largest monastery in Ladakh. It belongs to the Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17'Th century.

Day 3: Leh-Lamayuru
After breakfast with your trekking manger you will drive to Lamayuru. Enroute you will visit Alchi Gonpa which is very famous for the Wall paintings, The monastry was build by Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo in 11th Century. When you reach lamayuru you will visit lamayuru Monastery. You will start your trekking from this place. On arrival have a formal introduction with your trekking crew. You will spent your night in tents.

Day 4: Lamayuru-Wanla
After having your breakfast in camp you will start trekking to Wanlah. Till Prinkit La (3726mts), climbing up is very easy but after the village Shilla, you trail will follow a narrow and dry gorge and reach Wanlah. It is altogether 3 hours journey. You will have your lunch enroute. Overnight at tent.

Day 5: Wanla-Hanupatta
To reach Hanupatta it takes 5 hrs. This is comparatively a much easy ascending. Trekking starts with a flat slice of land. Enroute cross one river bridge before Phenjilla. From there continue to descend to reach Hanupatta. Overnight in tents.

Day 6: Hanupata – Photoksar
Hanupata to Photoksar generally takes 7 hrs. Today you will trail through the stony valley. Cross the river and walk up to Sisir La (4800mts). After Sisir La you will enjoy an easy reach to Photoskar (3750mts). Nightstay at camp.

Day 7: Photoksar – Foot of Singe-La
Get up quickly and refresh your self. Have your early breakfast at your tent. Your next stop will be Sengge La. After packing your lunch you will trek for Sengge La. For reaching there firstly you need to ascend to the Bumiktse La (4200mts). From there you will enjoy an easy descend to the adjacent lush dale. Have your lunch. Post lunch start trekking to the foot of the Sengge La. Camp here for the night.

Day 8: Foot of Sengge La- Lingshet
After having your breakfast at your tent today you will start for Lingshet. After completion of 6 hrs trekking trail you will reach Lingshet. Move out for your destination with your team. At first you will ascent Kiupa La (3850mts), after that enjoy a steep descent to the villages of Gongma and Skiumpata (3840mts) Enroute you will be spell bound by the wonderful landscape of the valley of Nierag. Reach Lingshet after crossing the Murgum La (4100mts). Establish your temporary camp near the monastery. Visit monastery. Overnight stay.

Day 9: Lingshet
Day is free for leisure. You can spend your whole day by exploring the surrounding area by your own . If you are a nature enthusiast and love to capture wonders of the nature with your camera then also this place won't disappoint you. Catch some moments of your life time. Overnight stay

Day 10: Lingshet - Snertse
Morning after quick breakfast start for Snertse. This whole expedition will take 6 hrs. From Lingshet ascent to the Hanuma La pass (4700mts). From there enjoy gradual descent to the sheepfolds of Snertse. Overnight at tents.

Day 11: Snertse – Hanumil
To reach your next destination Hanumil, you have to do 6 hrs trekking. From the Oma Chu River a steep ascent to the Parfi La (3900mts). Enjoy a relaxed lunch at Parfi La and post lunch descent to the foot of the pass. Stroll to the plateau that leads to Hanumil. Nightstay.

Day 12: Hanumil – Pishu
After having a good wholesome breakfast enjoy an easy walk to Pishu (05 hrs). Trek along the river and the picturesque plateau. Camp at the rear end of the village of Pishu. Evening visit Pishu village and enjoy typical village food. Nightstay.

Day 13: Pishu - Karsha
You trek 5 hrs to reach to Karsha. Cross Rinam. Trek through an easy stretch. After that trek along the banks of the Zanskar River to Karsha. Overnight at Karsha.

Day 14: Karsha – Padum
After breakfast trek to Padum. During your trip cross the Doda river. Trail through a dusty territory to Pipiting and then trek to Padum. Explore the surrounding area by visiting the local Gompas in the evening. Enjoy a bonfire at camp. Overnight stay.

Day 15: Padum – Muni
Today's trekking is comprises of an easy five hour trek to the Mune Village. Enroute visiting Bardan Gompa which houses the famous 180 cms you will reach to Mune Village. Nightlong stay at Mune.

Day 16: Muni – Ichar
The trekking route which connects Mune to Ichar is the most picturesque one. To cover this panoramic trail you will take around 3 to 4 hrs. Trail through a beautiful plain covered in flowers till the Reru village. After that cross the Tsarap river. From there you will enjoy a steady dive to the striking Ichar village. Overnight in camp.

Day 17: Ichar – Purne
To reach Ichar to Purne you will take 5 hrs. Cross the Ichar bridge and walk over a tricky trail to the Surle Village. From there trailing along the Tsarap River you will reach Cha village. Cross the bridge at the village and descend down to a small bridge over river. Then walk straight till you reach Purne village. Camp for overnight

Day 18: Purne – Phuktal Gonpa – Purne
Stroll to the left bank of the Tsarap. It gives a splendid view through gorges. After one and a half hour of trekking, cross a small bridge and walk till you get your first view of the spectacular Phugtal Monastery. After visiting Monastery you will enjoy your return trail to Purne.

Day 19: Purne - Kargyan
Have your breakfast and get ready soon as we head towards Kargyan from Purne. Enjoy trekking in the day. Return to the camp at night.

Day 20: Kargyan – Gonborangjon
The travel guide today takes you to Gamburanjan. The travel guide also gives you some important tips about how to continue with your trekking here. Follow his advice and enjoy the day of adventure. Spend the night at the camp at Gamburanjan.

Day 21: Gonborangjon – Shingkunla – Ramjak
Today you will start form Gamburanjan Camp and the enroute visiting Shingo La will reach to Rumbak in 5 hrs. Start your trekking route by crossing over a small plateau. After crossing it enjoy a chilled climb till the Shingo La pass (5090 Mts). Climb down in zigzag earth reach Rumbak meadow. Nightstay.

Day 22: Ramjak – Palamo
After a long six hours walk along the left bank of the Rumbak valley you will reach panoramic camp site of Palhamo. Explore the neighboring area with your travel manager. Overnight stay.

Day 23: Palamo –Darcha
A straightforward five hour walk will take you to the village of Darcha. This will be your last day of trekking. So enjoy a special food prepare by the trekking crew while enjoy bonfire at your campsite. From Darcha, you will get a pick up for Manali. Overnight at Darcha.

Day 24: Darcha – Manali
Morning after breakfast you will get your pick up from road head of Darcha. Enjoy a seven hours scenic drive to Manali. Day is free to for your individual activity. Overnight in hotel.
