Day 1: Phyang Phaterak – Taru
Little ahead of Phyang Its a place called Phaterak, We will take to the left from the Faterak to narrow valley which will lead to Stondok la, In the 1947 the Pakistani Soldier reach till the Stondok la from here Indian Army has pushed back Pkistani Soldier till the Current LOC. We will reach to Taru ater crossing the Stondok la, will camp at the end of the Taru village in. Nice Camping area.
Day 2: Taru – Umla
To reach Umla it will take 4 Hrs. We have to cross the Umla la, After the descending the pass we will reach the Umla village.Nice and small village.Overnight in camp.
Day 3: Umla – Nimo
We will walk down the village following the Umla stream, walk by the side of foot hill hill of Nimo we will reach to the place called Pilling here you will see a spring rest for a while and proced toward the Beautiful village Nimo.Camp at Nimo.
Day 4: Nimo – Tumlung
It’s a very easy routs reach to Basgo village visit Basgo Monastery, Its was to be the Capital of Ladakh in past. Nice view from the top of the Palace cum Monastery. Walk toward the Tumlung It’s a place in between Basgo and Ney Village. Camp at Tumlung.
Day 5: Tumlung – Liker
It will take 4 Hrs to reach the Liker. Today we will walk by the side of foot hill, Its will be flate and very dry deserted place to walk on but some time we can see some wild Goat coming down from the mountain. Camp at Liker, in evening will go to visit Liker Monastery and explore the village of Liker.
Day 6: Liker – Yangthang
Easy route Start from Lekir(3500) and reach Sumda village (3470) within 2-3Hours of short hike. You will cross the Pobe la (3500) on the way. From Sumda we hike on towards Yangthang *(3600), a total of 1-2Hours of hike. Will be crossing Cross Charatse la (3650). Spend the nigh in a Campsite.
Day 7: Yangthang – Rizong – Yangthang
Yangthang is small and beautiful village, From here you have to descent to south through the narrow valley following the Ullay river to reach to one of the beautiful hidden Monastery Founded in 1829, a Gelugpa monastery headed by Rizong Sras Rinpoche III. A stunning, isolated monastery renowned for its high level of monastic discipline. Follow the same route back to Yangthang. Overnight in tent.
Day 8: Yangthang – Hemis Shukpachan
Another easy route from Yangthang to Hemis Shukpachan village(3600) by crossing the Tsermangchan-la about 2-3 Hours. Night halt at Campsite. Can visit the Gonpa in the afternoon.
Day 9: Hemis Shukpachan – Timisgam
From Hemis Shukpachan to Temisgam vill.(3200) will 3-4 Hours of hike passing through some beautiful village of Ang ans some wonderful valleys and cross and easy pass Lago/Muptek pass (3750). Night halt can be at Campsite or a village home. Can explore the castle and the famous Gonpa, and drive back to Leh.
